After fearlessly exploring the dark recesses of caves in far corners of the world while growing up with her spelunking parents, Sue Gurnee has been systematically exploring the hidden realms of Nature’s inner workings through her high sense perception abilities. With the inquiring and categorizing intellect of a scientist and the playful and creative heart of an artist, Sue has been working for 16 years as a healer-teacher of medical practitioners and lay-people in the United States and Europe. Her life long passion is to enhance the perceptional abilities of interested learners. Trained as a scientific illustrator and trompe-l’oeil artist Ms. Gurnee’s art can be seen in 23 museums across the United States. Her fine art paintings and prints are in private collections in both Europe and North America.
Sue’s strength lies in an inspiring skill to teach vast conceptual material in clear and logically organized segments. These give inquiring students many informative ways to expand their inner potentials. As a researcher, Sue relentlessly delves into the mechanics of Nature’s energetic tapestries to find the implicate order and foundations of physical life. These she has captured in her Resonance Art works.
While strolling around Sue’s estate in the mountains of North Carolina a visitor is impressed with the generosity of spirit engendered by a woman who truly walks her talk.
No. She dances it! With unshakable dedication to including higher purpose in all she is involved with, each building of her compound has qualities that one can feel as well as see. She has carefully designed and helped build each of the structures with obstinate determinism to employ only integrity-minded craftsmen. The gardens, paths and contemplation areas reflect a respect for materials, an intrinsic whimsical quality and a genuine noble respect for the creative process.
