Dear Prospective Student,
Thank you for your interest in joining this innovative way to make positive changes in our world. Below are updated details about the 2012 term of study.
After committing to your self-designed project, you will learn methods to increase your powers of manifestation in accord with highest ethical models. Correlating each step of your work with its energetic counterpart, you will gain a comprehensive awareness of the inherent connection between your energetics, intention, action and outcome.
As a yearlong or seasonal student you are embarking on a unique and personalized program. For the extent of your enrollment you have access to the scholarship, experience and sincere feedback of founder, Sue Gurnee. Her mission is to help you achieve your goal while you simultaneously use the project as a metaphor for the directions of your life. With this correlation you will not only accomplish an important objective, but will be able to take the learning and build consciousness into daily choices.
Program of Study
Under the direction of Sue Gurnee, students choose the individual project they will spend the calendar year completing. All projects will have in common that they serve the focus –“to maintain nature’s brilliance”. In this exciting global classroom without boundaries, the impulse is to provide beneficial solutions to challenging themes. Each student participates in the advancement of his consciousness as it applies to his project’s focus. Through his supervised independent course of study, students have access to the School through telephone, skype and email. Ebook and sound file lectures, distance energy work and private consultations with Sue Gurnee are offered throughout the term of study. Monthly sound files are suitable for listening in one’s home or while in a car. In addition, all students are encouraged to attend two five day long Group Forums, and a four day Group Project. These are designed specifically for and open only to current students of the school. Housing and meals are provided for participants at a fee not covered in the tuition. Fields of Understanding’s official headquarters is not a building. It is natural setting that gently occupies 11 hectares of pristine woodlands and pastures overlooking one of the oldest rivers in the world. Here students can review audio recordings, share insights with other committed peers, conduct research and sit in counsel with Sue Gurnee. In the evenings, bonfires and spur-of-the-moment activities at the House of Five Senses provide additional activity.
When a student determines he is satisfied with the completion of his project, has grasped concepts and holds understanding, he or she is given the honor of continuing to participate in the on-going world-wide achievements of future students by acting as a Member Emissary.
Member Emissaries advise and aid students. They offer what they have learned through their awareness, integrity and power of manifestation while attending the school.

Linked to Universal themes that honor nature’s brilliance, students are given models of clarity from which to widen their scope of creativity.

STUDENT FINANCIAL AID
Fields of Understanding School of Principled Consciousness currently does not have available government-sponsored programs or grants for in-need students.
ENDOWMENT
To strengthen the future of the school, an endowment has been created from which special projects in the spirit of the school’s mission are formed.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Knowing that students manage multiple commitments, Fields of Understanding caters to the independent adult learner. The program is intended to endure within students’ individual time structures. It is important, for all concerned that after a student begins the School, that he continues until his goal is reached. If this is accomplished before August 15th, the remaining portion of the year’s tuition fee will be waived and this student may act as a Member Emissary for the rest of the school’s term. Upon the unlikely event that a student wishes to withdraw from the year’s study, the School requests that the student state, in writing, his reason for leaving. If a student decides to end the program because of extenuating circumstances not associated with the project’s schoolwork, a panel of adjudicators will review the specific circumstances and rule according to the highest outcome for all concerned. If a student’s course is terminated by the School for rule violation or non-payment of fees, official notification will be made in writing and no reimbursements will be given.
