Fields of Understanding’s School of Principled Consciousness creates freedom.
How?
By learning and applying clear and practical ways to build bridges through four stages of evolutionary consciousness.
These phases are reaction, awareness, perception and understanding. With a wider awareness comes expanded freedom.
Students enroll in a one-year or a 3 month distance learning endeavor and participate in a distinctive way.
Students do not receive a diploma. They do not get grades. They do not get letters of recommendation for their attendance or for their completion of the year’s study.
What do they get?
For each person it is different.
One student wrote:
My project gave me a feeling of mastery over my choices. This manifests as deeper confidence over other things I do. My vitality reflects my newly found fearless way of loving. I found a new wonderment of the interconnectedness of all of creation. I have more tolerance and understanding of myself and others. I believe that my rhythm and the cosmic rhythm have become a lyrical dance. This dance did not end with the completion of my project! This dance is my dance of life. I want to continue to dance in the Fields of Understanding!
Each year enrolled students work on individual and self-determined projects. Each project serves the “evolution of civilization” and each step of the creation of the project stresses “conscious” decision making using principled consciousness. All steps are guided by international facilitator, Susan Gurnee. Included in the one-year course are 12 monthly modules of awareness expansion lessons and sound files, 2 Group Forums and 1 Group Project Event that counterpoint the individual projects of the year. Within the Seasonal Project with the duration of three months, 3 e-books and sound files are included.

Fields of Understanding carries out its mission through an educational-action extension program called The School of Principled Consciousness.
Here, enrolled students from around the globe use sensible and responsible methods to effect real change in year-long projects of their choosing. Through careful synthesis of thought and action, students formulate their answers in alignment with the principles that govern all of nature.
Graduates of The School further the mission by becoming Member Emissaries and assist future students to complete their projects with principled conscious solutions.
